Arbutus (Madrona) and Alder Kitchen   This was a challenging project. I designed, drew, built and installed a complete custom-made kitchen for a client on Denman Island, BC. Custom Dragonfly Wood Doors

After installing new Alder flooring on main floors and stairs components, the client called me to replace their aged front door. I designed, drew, built and installed a set of double doors and jamb made of Yellow and Red Cedar. The sill is made of local Garry Oak. Here is a beautiful table I made called Beginning of Time: To connect the two pieces I used Garry Oak rails. The top came last in the process. It was a very challenging table to make because of all the different angles and shapes of all the pieces of wood. This bench overlooks a beautiful pond and is arched around an 8 foot Douglas Fir stump. All curved pieces were soaked in the pond and then bent into shape. Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

Park Canada commissioned me to use and recover an 80 year old White Oak that needed to be removed and built into lobby furniture. The tree was cut down and sent to be milled to specified sizes and shapes in order to build this beautiful bench, table and reception desk.
